Hapoel Petach Tikva continues its preparations for next season in the national league, and announced today (Wednesday) a significant strengthening of the team. Matan Peleg, a native of Guatemala, who also has five appearances for the Central American team, has signed with the Malabuses for the upcoming season.

Last year, the 28-year-old Peleg played for Hapoel Kfar Saba and helped her reach the top playoffs. After moving to Beitar Jerusalem (where he played in the Premier League), Hapoel Marmorek and Hapoel Rishon LeZion, the defender was promoted to the Premier League with Hapoel Nof Hagalil, but was sold to the Greens from the Sharon and did not get to play with the Northerners in the senior league for the second time.

In June 2021 he made his Guatemala debut, defeating St. Vincent and the Grenadines 0:10 in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers. Peleg was honored with two assists in the same game.
