Thiruvananthapuram: Complaint that there is an attempt to make the female doctor who complained against the CI that she was raped by promise of marriage, an accused in a financial fraud case. The woman doctor filed a complaint with ADGP, Crime Branch. In their complaint to the ADGP, former CIAV Saiju of Malayinkeesh Police Station called a female doctor to the Petta Crime Branch office to investigate the complaint filed by his wife and the female police officer and then the DySP on the phone treated her as if she was a suspect.
In 2019, a woman doctor who had returned from abroad for treatment had filed a complaint at Malainkeez station regarding the issue of rent. Saiju was the SI at Malayinkeesh station at that time. After the doctor’s complaint was resolved, Inspector Saiju kept in touch with the doctor on phone and went to their house demanding the expenses. According to the complaint, Saiju, who became friendly with the doctor, took money from the doctor for various purposes and sexually exploited the doctor.
Meanwhile, the doctor’s husband came to know about the friendship between the two and later the doctor’s marriage broke up. Meanwhile, Saiju had taken lakhs from the doctor in the name of LLB studies. According to the complaint, Saiju, who believed that he and his wife were about to divorce after the doctor’s marriage broke up, tortured the doctor with the promise of marriage. But in the meantime, Saiju’s wife came to know about the relationship between the two and later they called her on the phone and harassed her constantly, says the doctor. According to the doctor’s complaint, Saiju was opposed to Saiju coming home due to continuous harassment by Saiju’s wife.
Following this, the complaint filed by the doctor states that Saiju threatened him as he was living alone after the breakup of his married life and threatened his life. DySP Zulfikar and Johnson investigated the doctor’s complaint and found it to be true. But then there was no further action. The woman doctor complained to the Chief Minister after the action was delayed due to high-level interventions. In the subsequent investigation, it was found that Saiju and the writer Pradeep had misled the court by forging a fake document. Both were suspended.
After this, Saiju filed a complaint against the doctor in Kattakkada court. The first complaint was that the woman doctor demanded 25 lakhs through the lawyer. A complaint was also filed that Pinnad asked Saiju’s wife for money directly. But the woman doctor says that the truth will come out if she checks the phone call list of herself, Saiju and his wife. The crime branch took up the investigation on the complaint of the doctor who said that the investigation would not be carried out impartially as his colleagues were still present at the place where the CI worked and the current CI was Saiju’s friend. However, they also alleged that the officers are acting with previous judgment in the crime branch investigation.
