Kamala Harris Holds Rally with Running Mate Tim Walz in Philadelphia
Yesterday, Vice President Kamala Harris and her newly chosen running mate, Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota, held their first joint rally in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This rally comes just three months before the presidential election.
Harris emphasized that this campaign is ”not only a fight against Donald Trump,” highlighting the importance of the election for the future of the country. Walz criticized Trump for being ”too selfish to serve the American people.”
The event was part of a multi-day tour of key states, with Pennsylvania being a crucial battleground in the upcoming election. The selection of Walz, a white man from a rural background, is an attempt to appeal to undecided voters.
President Biden endorsed the election and praised Walz as a voice for workers and the middle class. The Republican campaign criticized Walz as a “dangerous extremist leftist.”
Polls show Harris gaining ground on Trump, and donations to her campaign have increased significantly. The Harris-Walz duo will be officially nominated during the Democratic National Convention, which begins on August 19th.
