Salt Lake City theatergoers have a packed season ahead, with 10 touring productions slated for the Eccles Theater in the 2026-2027 season, beginning with a return to the wizarding world.

Magical Season Ahead: Broadway at the Eccles Announces 2026-2027 Lineup

The Eccles Theater will host a diverse range of shows, from “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” to a new musical adaptation of “The Great Gatsby.”

“Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,” an effects-laden stage play continuing the story of J.K. Rowling’s beloved series, will launch the season, playing September 19 through October 11, 2026. The play follows Albus Potter, son of Harry, as he navigates Hogwarts and forges a friendship with Scorpius Malfoy, son of Draco Malfoy.

The touring productions—eight as part of the subscription season, with “Beetlejuice” and “Six” available for an additional ticket price—will be performed at the Eccles Theater, located at 131 S. Main, Salt Lake City, according to an announcement made Wednesday.

Nov. 10-15 • “The Outsiders,” the Tony-winning musical based on S.E. Hinton’s classic young-adult novel (and the iconic Francis Ford Coppola film), follows Ponyboy Curtis and his friend Johnny Cade as they navigate the rivalry between the Greasers and the Socs.
