Ahmedabad: When Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma disappointed the fans this time around in IPL 2022, there were many youngsters who surprised them. From Umran Malik of Sunrisers Hyderabad to Mohsin Khan, Abhishek Sharma, Kuldeep Sen and Arshadeep Singh, the list is huge. The IPL XI selectors may be confused as to who will be left out of the squad.
Leading commentator Harsha Bhogle has been selected as the best XI of the season as the Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans (RR vs GT) battle it out for the title in the IPL. It is also noteworthy that neither Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma, Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Virat Kohli or Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni have been named in Bhogle’s IPL XI.

KL Rahul, who finished second in the IPL run chase, is one of Bhogle’s openers in the team. Though Shikhar Dhawan was the strong opener for the second wicket, Bhogle opted for Sunrisers’ Rahul Tripathi.
Bhogle says he had no other choice but to name Rajasthan Royals captain and Malayalee star Sanju Samson at number three. Bhogle said that Sanju, who can attack from the first ball, has not scored big but he is an impact player and such players are needed in T20.
Suryakumar Yadav comes in at number four. Despite playing only eight matches for Mumbai this season, Suryakumar was the backbone of Mumbai’s batting. Gujarat Titans’ Hardik Pandya has been selected as the No. 5 pick in Bhogle. Bhogle RCB skipper Dinesh Karthik, who did not consider Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant as the wicket-keeper, has been included in the squad.

Bhogle’s team includes Yusvendra Chahal and R Ashwin as spinners. Bhogle’s squad includes Lucknow Super Giants ‘Mohsin Khan, RCB’s Harshal Patel and Mumbai Indians’ Jaspreet Bumra.
