DThe Dorfzeit village renewal association in Maria Ponsee is doing a great job with the exchange booth. This time the program was to help those affected by floods.

The village renewal association Dorfzeit planned a big harvest festival for 2024 at the Maria Ponsee exchange booth. Due to the flood disaster, the board decided at the general meeting to hold the autumn festival less than expected. The small autumn festival lasted only two hours in the afternoon with pumpkin carving, kite flying and pastries, drinks and small appetizers. The pumpkins donated by Manfred Bichler were enthusiastically carved. “The Dorfzeit board had a lot more time to chat. Flooding was the big issue. That’s exactly why it was important for us to take time and create a space to talk about it,” said chairperson Julia Frank. The 900 euro donations collected will benefit the social fund for those affected by the floods in the market town of Zwentendorf.
