What Does This Mean for viewers?
HBO Max, a U.S.-based streaming service from Warner Bros. Discovery, offers a diverse range of programming, including films, series, and live sports. Popular content includes HBO Originals like game of Thrones, Max Originals, films from Warner bros. Pictures, and titles from the DC universe. What’s key is that Prime subscribers won’t automatically gain access to HBO Max; thay must actively purchase a separate subscription within the Prime Video interface.
Access to HBO Max content will be seamless for those who subscribe, appearing directly within the Prime Video app or on the website. Elisabetta Carruba, Director of Content Partnerships, EMEA at Prime Video, stated: “The integration of HBO Max as an additional subscription into our existing offering of international series, blockbuster films and live sports is an important step in our journey to becoming the first port of call for entertainment for our customers.”
