Heat wave: it’s the rush on fans and air conditioners

While the map of France turns red on the temperature side, fans, coolers and other mobile air conditioners occupy a prominent place at the entrance to the Boulanger household appliance store in Villebon-sur-Yvette (Essonne). In search of a device that could refresh them in the coming days, many customers prowl, consult the salespeople, before leaving the premises, for many of them with a box under their arm. “Since Monday, sales have panicked,” confirms Guillaume Creton, responsible, among other things, for air treatment products at Boulanger. “We think we will multiply our sales by 20 compared to last week,” he continues.
