Heated Rivalry to Screen Season One in 650+ Movie Theaters

The hockey romance Heated Rivalry will screen all six episodes of its first season in more than 650 movie theaters across North America, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand this November, providing a big-screen event for fans before the second season arrives in 2027.

We look for ways to bring it to the big screen and give fans a reason to experience it together, said Brooks LeBoeuf, Regal’s senior vice president of U.S. content. The theatrical event runs from November 6 through November 30.

This cinema run arrives nearly a year after the Crave and HBO Max adaptation debuted on November 28, 2025. The series quickly became a global phenomenon following viral social media buzz.

Regal Leads Global Theater Rollout

Regal is the primary distributor for the domestic release, bringing the hockey drama to over 650 locations in the United States. This includes more than 275 Regal venues and participating AMC and Cinemark chains.

  • United States: Screenings run November 6–30 at Regal, AMC, and Cinemark, with tickets priced at $9.99 per screening.
  • United Kingdom: Cineworld and Picturehouse Cinemas host screenings starting November 6.
  • Canada: Cineplex Cinemas joins the theatrical rollout beginning November 6.
  • Australia and New Zealand: Screenings expand to the region starting December 5.

Regal Rewards+ members and AMC A-List members can book tickets as part of their monthly subscriptions without extra fees.

Theaters Pair Episodes With Themed Perks

The theatrical run breaks the six-episode first season into three double bills. This structure follows the show’s narrative rhythm rather than a single binge session.

  • Episodes 1 and 2: “Rookies” and “Olympians”
  • Episodes 3 and 4: “Hunter” and “Rose”
  • Episodes 5 and 6: “I’ll Believe in Anything” and “The Cottage”

Regal screenings feature exclusive welcome content from the cast and show creator Jacob Tierney. Participating theaters will also sell two limited-time cocktails: Summer in Montreal and Russians Don’t Blush.

Production Prepares for 2027 Return

The adaptation is based on Rachel Reid’s Game Changers book series. It centers on the rivalry and secret romance between professional hockey players Shane Hollander, played by Hudson Williams, and Ilya Rozanov, played by Connor Storrie.

The ensemble includes François Arnaud, Robbie G.K., Christina Chang, Dylan Walsh, Sophie Nélisse, and Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova.

Heated Rivalry is a global phenomenon creating a rush of social media and press activity wherever it lands. We’re very excited to give audiences the opportunity to watch the drama unfold on big screens in North America, the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
