Thiruvananthapuram: Heavy rains continue across the state. But the yellow alert has been withdrawn in three districts. Currently, the yellow alert is in 8 districts. The yellow alert in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam and Pathanamthitta districts has been withdrawn. However, a new yellow alert has been issued in Wayanad district.
The Met office has forecast heavy rains in central and northern Kerala on May 21 today. The cyclone is expected to make landfall in Karnataka. In addition, the influence of south-westerly winds has increased the likelihood of rains in the state.
