The Air Force has identified the bodies of all the soldiers killed in the Nilgiris helicopter crash.
The bodies of Brigadier General Pipin Rawat, his wife and Brigadier Litter, who were among the 13 killed in the accident, have already been identified and a funeral will be held. In this situation, the bodies of 6 more people were identified yesterday morning and handed over to their relatives. Funerals were held with military honors for their bodies, which were taken home.
The bodies of the remaining 4 were charred and there was a delay in identification. The bodies of Harinder Singh, Scottron Leader Singh, Havildar Satpal, Kursevak Singh and Jitender Kumar, who died in the accident, have been identified, the Air Force said. Their bodies were handed over to relatives from the Delhi Cantonment Hospital morgue this morning and it has been announced that the funeral will be conducted with military honors.
