Army Helicopter Coonoor Nanjappa Chattram, which was involved in the rescue operation during the accident, provided food items to the people and thanked the Air Force.

Commander of the 3rd Brigade Bipin Rawat visited the Nanjappa Chattram area near Coonoor in the Nilgiris District on the 8th. Helicopter Crashed into a tree. When the accident happened, they grabbed water in jugs from the pipes in their residential area and tried to put out the fire.

The army, fire and police cooperated with them after their arrival. The people of the area, without any expectation for the rescue operation, helped by giving items including blankets from their homes.

Thus, two persons were rescued alive. Unfortunately only one person is currently alive rather than one who died. The police and air force have praised the selfless work of these people.

On behalf of the Air Force, the people of Nanjappa Chattram were given four items namely rice, pulses, sugar and salt. Also, the Air Force thanked them for their service.

Air Force Deputy Marshal Sanjeev Raj has personally handed over a letter of thanks to each of the people of Nanjappa Chattram. The letter said, “On behalf of the Troops, we thank you for all your help, regardless of their lives. We pray to God that you and your family will live well. ”
