jpnn.com – SORONG SELATAN – The Education Office of South Sorong Regency, Southwest Papua, has decided to place PPPK teachers in all private schools in the district.

Head of the South Sorong Regency Education and Culture Service, Hengki Gogoba, said this step was taken to meet the shortage of teachers in private schools.

“Previous regulations regarding the appointment and placement of PPPK teachers had been determined directly by the central government, where PPPK teachers were placed only in state schools, while private schools received no attention and there was a shortage of teachers,” said Hengki in Teminabuan, Wednesday (6/3).

Hengki explained that previously regulations for the recruitment and placement of ASN PNS and PPPK teachers were determined directly from the center according to regional needs. So, areas just follow and cannot change.

However, he continued, with the new policy, regions are now given the authority to regulate the placement of teachers in all educational units.

Regarding this, Hengki admitted that he would coordinate with regional heads so that a policy would be taken to place PPPK teachers in private schools.

“Thank God and praise God because the central government has given authority to regions to regulate the recruitment and placement of teachers according to needs.”

“Therefore, our technical service will coordinate with the regent to ask for further instructions. “So we ask private schools, both those managed by Islamic foundations and Christian and Catholic foundations, to be patient,” he said. (antara/jpnn)

Hengki explained that there is a new policy from the center regarding the placement of PPPK teachers, please pay attention to it.
