“Here people are worn out”: in Dieppe, a doctor sanctioned for granting too many sick leaves

In Val-Druel, a working-class neighborhood on the heights of Dieppe (Seine-Maritime), Doctor Dominique Tribillac has seen several generations of patients pass through his office. Installed here almost by chance 35 years ago, the former conscientious objector strengthened his humanist spirit, becoming over the years a well-known figure among residents.

It is therefore there that the almost 70-year-old practitioner, “in active retirement as long as I have the strength”, decided to begin a militant standoff against Health Insurance which sanctioned him for having granted , according to his calculations, too many sick leaves.
