The 20th matchday of the Bundesliga is coming up and RB Leipzig welcomes Union Berlin to its home stadium. For the hosts, it’s about collecting points so as not to lose touch with the Champions League places. The guests, on the other hand, want to create a surprise and take unplanned points in the fight against relegation.
Union Berlin can count on a new signing in Leipzig, as attacking power Yorbe Vertessen arrived on deadline day. The 23-year-old is moving from PSV Eindhoven to Köpenick. “With him we are getting a player who enjoyed an excellent education in Eindhoven. He has already gained a lot of experience, which will be an advantage for him and us in the second half of the season. We are very pleased that he chose us despite many options,” says Oliver Ruhnert, Union’s managing director of men’s professional football, explaining the transfer.
