The Air Force has announced that Group Captain Varun Singh, who was burnt in a Coonoor Army helicopter crash, is being treated with life-saving equipment.

The Air Force said the group captain’s condition was critical but stable.

An Air Force helicopter carrying 14 Brigade Commander Bipin Rawat crashed on Dec. 8 while attending an event at the Army College in Wellington, Nilgiris, from Sulur, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

Group Captain Varun Singh, who was involved in an accident while traveling in this helicopter, is fighting for his life in a dangerous situation. Varun Singh, who was treated at Wellington Hospital with 85 per cent burns, has been admitted to Command Hospital in Bangalore for further treatment.

According to the Air Force, hyperbaric oxygen therapy is being given to heal faster from burns and infections.
