Vadakara ∙ Locals were shocked to hear the incident of husband hanging himself after killing his wife in Tiruvallur Kunivayal. A similar incident took place a month and a half ago in Kanjirat floor of the same panchayat. The husband killed his wife who was suffering from cancer and hanged herself. Here, it is believed that the husband hanged himself after killing his wife, who was suffering from amnesia, when no one else was home.
The outside world came to know about the incident around 7:30 PM. When his son Karthikeyan and his wife returned from going out, they saw the tragic incident with shock. Both had gone out after having lunch. Karthikeyan got married seven months ago. No one else was home.
Locals have only good things to say about Krishna and Narayani. Theirs is a close-knit family. Krishnan, an agricultural laborer, supported his family by doing wage labour. I haven’t been to work for a while. Narayani stayed at home after suffering from amnesia. Locals say that Krishna was troubled by his wife’s amnesia.
