Less than a week after the Rebbe’s announcement of the establishment of a huge beit midrash for the public good, masses of Viznitz followers from all over the country gathered in Keter Harimon’s halls for a huge dinner that was quickly produced and in which the Hasidim declared their partnership and commitment to build the beit midrash. During the week, a group of Viznitz real estate agents entered the Rebbe’s room, announcing the raising of a donation of over NIS 1 million each.
Towards the end of the week the Rebbe flew to Georgia where a tea party was held with governors for the benefit of the World Center.
As mentioned, all of Viznitz’s followers gathered for an evening of initial harnessing.
Later, the fundraising plans were presented, starting with a high personal donation but with a personal standing order in small amounts that will be spread over about 10 years, in parallel with mass donations and generous fundraising.
The highlight of the evening, led by the Mayor of Elad, Rabbi Israel Porush, was the defining moment when the hundred million NIS mark was crossed, streams of joy and dancing began in the hall, a sense of devotion and love were mixed in one moment, at the huge journey that indicated one hundred million NIS. The big surprise came from the court governors who raised donations that reached about NIS 40 million of the total liabilities.
At the end of the evening, all the Hasidim went out dancing, hoping for prayer and expectation that we would indeed be privileged to see built in its understandings, the little temple built from the fire of hearts.
