During a regular⁢ press‌ conference at the Ho Chi Minh City Press ⁢Center, Ms. Pham Dac My Tran, Head of the Press Department of the Department of Information and‍ Communications (DIC) of Ho Chi Minh City, responded to inquiries regarding an incident involving actress Nam Thu. Nam Thu had ‌organized a‌ press meeting on ⁤the afternoon of August 5.

The DIC representative stated that they had​ received reports about Nam⁣ Thu’s media event but found no application for a ‌press conference permit.

Ms. My Tran, the⁣ representative, explained that ⁢the Department had invited ​Nam Thu to collaborate on related content, with⁣ a working session scheduled for August 9th.‍ “We invited Nam ⁢Thu to clarify the recent media meeting.​ The ⁤results of the meeting will be announced to the press soon,” she said.

Ms. Tran also noted⁤ an increase ‌in unauthorized press ⁢conferences, with individuals bypassing⁣ the necessary permission procedures.

According to Clause 1 and 3 of Article ⁣41 of⁣ the 2016 Press Law, organizations and individuals organizing‍ press conferences must notify the state press management agency 24 hours in​ advance.

The Department emphasized the importance of collaboration among authorities, media agencies,⁢ and⁢ event organizers ⁤to prevent unauthorized press conferences. Consequences for violations include the immediate ⁤cessation of the event and subsequent administrative sanctions.

Previously, Nam Thu held a‍ press ⁣conference to address ‍rumors about her private life.

During‍ the meeting, Nam Thu denied reports⁣ of involvement with a married ⁣person and confirmed that no explicit or illicit videos or images exist of her engaging ⁢in such behavior.

The actress expressed concern over the impact ⁢of online attacks on her reputation and career, specifically citing the actions of the “Zyy Doo” account and​ other individuals.
