India drew 1-1 with England in their first match of the Women’s Hockey World Cup on Sunday.
First in this game, Isabel Peet scored a field goal in the 8th minute for England and Vandana Kataria equalized the game by scoring a penalty corner opportunity for India in the 27th minute. India next face China on Tuesday.
In other matches held on Sunday, Day 2, Belgium defeated South Africa (4-1) and Australia defeated Japan (2-0).
