Speaking to The Better India, Bhimji says, “Our Hodka Rann stay is built on an eco-friendly theme. While making it, we kept Gujarati local art and culture in mind. And it is made completely from natural materials.”

Yes, this village resort has used ancient and natural techniques and things like wooden roof, raw bricks for walls and traditional plastering. Being eco-friendly, the seven mud cottages here remain warm from inside even in cold weather without any heater.

Bhimji explains, “Farming cannot be done in this area of ​​Rann of Kutch, so we are mostly focused on tourism. We renovate our resort every year, which also provides work to the people around the village. We take the help of local people for plastering, painting, hotel staff, laundry work, and in this way they also benefit from tourism.”

You may not get all kinds of modern facilities like AC, TV, swimming pool in Hodka Stay, but the guests coming here definitely get the wonderful experience of living amidst rural and beautiful natural views.
