After six months, the young Danish Holger Rune (8th in the world) and Patrick Mouratoglu have decided to put an end to their collaboration.
Currently in full preparation for the Masters 1000 of Monte-Carlo, the Dane Holger Rune 8th in the world, announced on his social networks to put an end to his collaboration with Patrick Mouratoglu. The two men will have collaborated for six months, since October 2022, when it was originally due to end at the end of last season.
The former coach of Serena Williams announced the end of the collaboration on his Instagram account before the 19-year-old player replied warmly in stride. “Holger ! We accomplished our mission and finally had a six-month adventure, surpassing our initial three-month plan. It was a pleasure to share this trip with you. Your energy and enthusiasm made it even more special. I have no doubt what your bright future holds for you. I remain your biggest fan and I keep an eye on you with the Mouratoglou Academy team.».
Their adventure was marked by a remarkable victory at the Master 1000 of Paris Bercy by beating Novak Djokovic in the final. The young Dane also entered the top 10 during the collaboration between the two men. Rune will remain accompanied by his historic trainer Lars Christensen and his mother Aneke. Nevertheless, Mouratoglou should keep an advisory mission with the young player.

The enigma Simona Halep
Before taking care of Holger Rune, Patrick Mouratoglou was the coach of Simona Halep who had ended her season in 2022 before the US Open, for a nose operation.
The Romanian was previously suspended by the ITA after testing positive for a banned substance ahead of the 2022 US Open. She hasn’t played since and her return date is still unknown.
