Holy Ramadan: Umrah booking for the first 20 days has started

by time news

Makkah | The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced that the booking for those who wish to perform Umrah in the first 20 days of the holy month of Ramadan has started through an electronic platform. Booking for Umrah should be done through mobile applications Tawalkanna and Nusuk.

The booking facility for performing Umrah in the last ten will be started later. This is part of avoiding heavy traffic that may occur during Ramadan. The authorities have warned that strict action will be taken against those who try to enter Makkah to perform Umrah without permission and a fine of up to 10,000 riyals will be levied if caught.

Pilgrim traffic for each day is available in the applications at the time of booking. Least busy times will be in green, less busy times in orange and more busy times in red.

Umrah visas have been extended from 30 days to 90 days and pilgrims were earlier allowed to enter and exit the holy land with ease and enter the country through land and sea routes.
