Honor has launched the X9e S, a rebadged smartphone featuring an 8,560mAh battery, 80W fast charging, and a 6.79-inch AMOLED display, priced at SAR 1,499 (about $399) in the Middle East.
Abid Ahsan Shanto, a Senior Tech Writer at Notebookcheck with 3,132 articles published since 2023, has noted the phone’s potential expansion to other markets under a different name (Notebookcheck).
Key Specifications and Features
The X9e S is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chip, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Its 6.79-inch AMOLED display boasts a 120Hz refresh rate, 800 nits of brightness, and 100% DCI-P3 color coverage (Notebookcheck). The phone also supports IP66/IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance, a dual-speaker setup, and a 50MP primary camera with a 5MP ultrawide lens (Giznewsdaily).
Under the hood, the device uses the Adreno 810 GPU and runs MagicOS 10 on Android 16. It features a 1.5K AMOLED panel with peak brightness of 1,800 nits and 3,840Hz PWM dimming, according to Gizmochina. The phone’s 7.76mm thickness and 196g weight make it compact, though its USB-C port only supports USB 2.0 speeds (Gizmochina). The rear camera module houses a 50MP main camera, a 5MP ultrawide lens, and an LED flash, while the front camera has a 16MP sensor.
The X9e S includes durability tests, such as 2.5m drop resistance, though these are manufacturer claims rather than independent results. It also features an optical fingerprint scanner embedded in the display and connectivity options like Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC (Gizmochina). Honor claims the battery lasts up to three days on a single charge, though the exact time for a full charge at 80W remains unspecified.
Details Pricing and Availability in Middle East
Honor is selling the X9e S in the Middle East for SAR 1,499 (about $399) in three color options: Dawn Orange, Glacier White, and Midnight Black. Orders from Honor’s UAE store include items valued at SAR 298 (about Rs 7,500): an Honor coffee cup, one year of accidental damage protection, and one year of battery capacity guarantee service (Gizmochina).
The X9e S is a rebadged variant of the Honor Turbo, sharing its design and specifications. It sits below the X9e Pro in battery capacity but retains a large-cell design, with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 placing it in the mid-range segment for 2025 (Giznewsdaily). The phone’s 8,560mAh battery supports reverse charging, allowing users to use its capacity for other devices (Notebookcheck).
