The Houston Police Department (HPD) responded to the scene shortly after midnight, finding a chaotic situation with multiple victims. According to a senior official, an argument involving two or three individuals escalated into gunfire, striking six people in total.

Victim Identified as Eleanor B. Williams

The deceased has been identified as 63-year-old Eleanor B. Williams. Family members described Williams as a vibrant and beloved member of the community. Her daughter, Lucy Johnson, shared the heartbreaking details of the incident, stating, “She was getting ready to leave out and she got hit…I believe from the back.” Johnson added that witnesses reported not seeing blood, suggesting Williams may have been struck from behind.
