Suryakumar Yadav, who is playing in Australia for the first time, has given some interesting answers to the question of how he performs so well.
The T20 World Cup 2022 series started in October and reached the semi-finals with some exciting matches. New Zealand, England, India and Pakistan have made it to the semi-finals. The two semi-finals are scheduled to be held on 09 and 10 November. India will face England on 10th.
The Indian team has reached the semi-finals only because of its tremendous batting. The main reason for that was the excellent batting of Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav. Both have scored 3 fifties each. Even though Virat Kohli is an experienced player and has shown excellent batting, Suryakumar Yadav who is playing on pitches like Australia for the first time is being appreciated by everyone.
In this case, in a conversation with Ravi Ashwin, Suriya said that he is happy to show his batting on the pitches of Australia. Speaking then, he said, “Everyone asks me, how did you prepare yourself for the fast boundary pitches and big pitches as you have never been to Australia. I have practiced a lot in Wankhede. The track there has a great bounce and fast nature. I enjoy seeing the big gaps in it, it’s easy for me to drive the ball there or I’m ready to run hard and get runs if needed.”
He also said, “I am enjoying my batting and when I show my best batting, I am more confident because it will give me success.”
Suryakumar, who is ranked No. 1 in the ICC T20 rankings, has added 225 runs with 3 half-centuries at an average of 75 in 5 matches in the ongoing World Cup series. He has played 28 T20 matches this year and has scored 1,026 runs at an average of 44.60. It contains one hundred and nine fifties. These runs came at a strike rate of 186.24. He became the first Indian player and the second international to score 1,000 runs in a calendar year in T20I history.
