The 76-year-old Hasina Wajid is the daughter of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Bangladesh’s first president. She has been in power since 2009. Previously, Sheikh Hasina Wajid served as the opposition leader for three terms and fled to India by helicopter.
Reports indicate that Sheikh Hasina’s net worth is substantial, leading to her being considered one of the most powerful women in the world. Her annual salary reportedly exceeded 1.3 lakh taka. According to Indian media, her total wealth is estimated to be over 6 crore taka. Her assets include 6 acres of agricultural land, a fish farm, and extensive real estate holdings. The report also mentions an expensive car received as a gift and numerous properties in Bangladesh and abroad.
