The three new models of the Chinese manufacturer will be offered in European countries at prices between 500 euros and 1,300 euros including tax – and it’s time to start trying to guess how much they could cost here in Israel

The MWC exhibition returns to business in full force and brings with it a large number of announcements about smart devices – one of the most significant of which does not reveal to us models we did not know existed before, but does foreshadow their becoming available internationally: this is the Xiaomi 13 series, and we are already measuring the time until the moment where the official local importer will inform us that it is possible to go to the various stores and find them on the shelves.

Xiaomi 13 Pro is the international flagship model of the manufacturer, as of this moment, with a large and advanced AMOLED screen of 6.73 inches with a resolution of 3,200×1,440 pixels, with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and with a brightness that reaches up to 1,900 nits at its peak, protective coating of the Gorilla Glass Victus type , official IP68 protection against water and dust, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, Android 13 system, advanced rear camera array with three 50-megapixel sensors, stereo speakers, dual-channel Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, built-in biometric scanner under the display, infrared transmitter -Built-in red and a slightly increased 4,820mAh battery compared to the previous generation that is fully charged in about 19 minutes with a power of up to 120 watts or in about 36 minutes wirelessly with a power of up to 50 watts.

The flagship Xiaomi of the beginning of 2023 will be available in black, white or green for its aluminum casing and a unique scratch-resistant ceramic coating on the back, or in blue for a version with a silicon-based polymer back – at an official recommended price of 1,300 euros inclusive Tax (NIS 5,040 in direct conversion) for a model with 256GB of internal UFS 4.0 storage and another 12GB of LPDDR5X memory. There are also versions of the device with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal UFS 3.1 storage, but it seems that they will not arrive in Europe at this time.

The standard Xiaomi 13 will offer a more compact alternative with a 6.36-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2,400×1,080 pixels, a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a peak brightness of 1,900 nits as in the Pro, an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, a camera array with a 50 sensor A smaller main megapixel than the Pro and a pair of more modest secondary sensors with a resolution of 12 megapixels and 10 megapixels, stereo speakers, Android 13 system straight out of the box, IP68 protection against water and dust, a built-in fingerprint scanner under the display, Infrared transmitter and 4,500mAh battery with 67-watt wired charging that will restore full capacity in 38 minutes or less or 50-watt wireless charging that will restore full capacity in 48 minutes or less.

This model, with an aluminum frame and glass back cover, will be available in black, white or green with 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage and another 8GB of fast dynamic memory for 1,000 euros including tax, or NIS 3,870.

The Xiaomi 13 Lite will offer dimensions that are halfway between its two more advanced and more expensive brothers, with a 6.55-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2,400×1,080 pixels with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits, alongside a modern octagon Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip , more basic IP53 protection against water and dust, Android 12 system (hopefully upgrading to Android 13 as soon as possible), single speaker, fingerprint scanner under the screen, built-in infrared transmitter, a pair of selfie cameras with a resolution of 32 megapixels and 8 megapixels -Pixel with different shooting angles and a 4,500mAh battery with only 67 watt wired charging.

This model will be offered with an internal UFS 2.2 storage of 128GB and 8GB of RAM, in a black, blue or pink shade for its plastic frame and the back glass covering – in exchange for 500 euros including tax, or NIS 1,940 approximately.

All the prices mentioned in the previous paragraphs are prices in central European countries, where as of now we still do not know when the three will be available in Israel as well – and what their price will be here. It can be hoped and hoped that the local launch will not be delayed, when the pricing will be fair and as close as possible to those announced so far, similar to the Poco X5 Pro which was launched in Israel recently and whose starting local price of NIS 1,550 is well suited to the recommended price of 400 euros given outside of Israel.

If we can see the continuation of the trend, we can hope that the Xiaomi 13 Lite will cost local consumers 2,000 shekels or 2,100 shekels at the most, the Xiaomi 13 will not exceed the threshold of 4,000 shekels, while the Xiaomi 13 Pro… will cost only “a little” more from NIS 5,000.
