Hyundai unveiled the new Sonata 2024 in South Korea. The medium sedan gained a futuristic look with a concept called Seamless Horizon Lamp, which has not yet debuted on the brand’s models sold in Brazil. Including, the model is not in the plans of Caoa Hyundai, since the automaker has already revealed that it will focus on SUVs in the coming years.

The new Hyundai Sonata 2024 received a tapered daytime running light across the front of the model, which left it with the design of science fiction movie cars. The conventional headlights are angular and are next to the wide front grille. The 19-inch wheels were made exclusively for the sedan and have a sporty finish.

The rear has a dropped “C” column, which gives it a coupé-like feel and the rear headlights are a single piece and have a “T”-shaped light signature, much like the new Hyundai HB20 and HB20S.

Inside, the new Hyundai Sonata features a new steering wheel with a round central design and three spokes. Following a global trend, the medium sedan has two large 12.3-inch screens, one of which serves as an instrument panel and the other as a multimedia center with connection to smartphones.

Regarding the engine, Hyundai has not yet revealed any technical data for the Sonata 2024. However, according to South Korean websites, the model should gain hybrid or 100% electric versions. They also inform that the sedan can have a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, which yields up to 191 hp. The transmission will be an eight-position automatic.
