Sibyle VEIL.- The legislative elections gave birth to a plural political landscape. We are going to experience either a five-year period of debates, or a five-year period of crises. In this context, the role of the audiovisual public service will be important. It is a place for controlled debates and serene mediation between different opinions. We fight every day against disinformation, but also against the hysterization of debates which amplify antagonisms. The level of abstention must also challenge us: it shows democratic fatigue and a distancing of the youngest. The question of the mode of financing of the public service has a direct effect on these questions. For us to continue to be useful, we must preserve our contract of trust with the listeners and, for this, it is essential that there is no suspicion of connivance or intervention…
