Lucknow: Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav has recalled an incident in which a schoolboy misunderstood himself as Rahul Gandhi when he was the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. Akhilesh was participating in the Assembly debate on the state budget.
‘Once when I went to a primary school, a student who studied there did not recognize me. I asked the boy if he knew who I was. The boy replied that it was not Rahul Gandhi. The Samajwadi Party president said this when members of the assembly burst into tears after hearing Akhilesh’s statement. ‘They have no regrets about the poor quality of education in the state.
