BTA Minister Mkhitar Hayrapetyan wrote on his Facebook page:
“Today I received the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the USA to Armenia Christina Quinn.
First of all, I would like to thank the USA for its efforts towards the peace agenda in the South Caucasus, as well as for the steps aimed at reaching a new level of development in bilateral relations. In my speech, I highly appreciated the cooperation with the US Agency for International Development (USAID), especially in the field of high technologies. I presented the main directions of the Ministry’s activity to the ambassador, emphasized that the development of high technologies, robotics and artificial intelligence is a priority for the RA government.
US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia Christina Quinn congratulated her on being appointed to the position of minister, emphasized that the US Embassy in Armenia already has experience of effective cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and expressed hope that the formed cooperation will be continuous.
During the meeting, reference was made to the development of dialogue between the two countries in the field of cyber security, digitization, and high technologies.
