Tomorrow, Saturday, September 2, the singer Ines Osinaga of Itziar will present the project ‘The sea is the only way’, which has been simmering for a year internally. The jury of the Joseba Jaka scholarship announced in April 2022 that it was the initiative of the native of Arrasate that Osinaga was awarded and since then Osinaga has been active. “The journey we started in March 2022 continues,” said the native of Arrasate.
He explained that tomorrow’s concert will be “very special”. “I think it will be very close to the concert I would like to do.” Due to the bad weather, the concert will be held in the church and the call has filled all the capacity. Osinaga plans a two-hour show, yes, he will not be the only one on stage, as he will also be joined by the “sisters of Cuban music” and musicians from the Basque Country, Naile Sosa (percussion), Irina Gonzalez (guitar) and Yaima Orozco, who accompanied him on the album. However, he does not want to create “too much expectation”. The first goal has been to make everyone who will be back at the concert feel comfortable and, for that, he has taken care of even the smallest detail. “I wanted to create a safe space both for me, for all the bodies that will go on stage and for the public that will share the experience around the stage. It wasn’t easy, but we found a way.”
Osinaga has invited everyone who goes to the show to live the experience “in a collective way”, because that’s what music is for him. “Not only what will be heard, but what we will share together at that moment”, he explained.
