Gaydamak with Ofira and Barco (private)
Arkady Gaydamak, who was previously the owner of Betar Jerusalem and also led the group to success, will break a long silence tonight (Friday) at 18:00 on the program of Ofira Asaig and Eyal Berkovich, Keshet 12. In the program, the businessman stated, among other things: “Betar Jerusalem will get a Muslim player for the team. I will return to being the owner.”
As you may recall, the businessman joined the club from the capital in 2005 and led the team to win the championship in the 2006 season, when a season later in 2007/08 the club under him recorded their first ever double win. In addition, during Gaydamak’s time, the team won another state cup, but as the years passed, he reduced his support for the team until his departure in 2011.
