“I will reveal your personal and my family relations, which are not for the record”, these are some of the threats to a judge that can be heard in the first recording with the voice of Martin Bojanov-Notarius, which was distributed by bTV.

The audio file is also one of the pieces of evidence in the case of threats against judge Vladislava Tsarigradska. It has already been sent for expertise to establish the veracity of the voices of Martin Bojanov and his lawyer Velimir Atanasov.

It is from January 14, 2020. Then the court in Lukovit is hearing a property case in which Martin Bojanov is a party. The judge is Vladislava Tsarigradska, and at the very beginning of the hearing the lawyer asked for the court’s recusal because of suspicions of bias.

“You allowed, as we feared from the very beginning, collection of evidence absolutely indifferent to the subject of the case, concerning personal relationships, intimate relationships, gossip, assaults,” Atanasov says in the recording.

According to the protocol of the meeting, Martin Bojanov claims that he also has information from a witness about the dependence of the court.

“He also shared with me that the chairman of the board’s hatred towards me and Adv. Atanasov originates from the fact that we are on close friendly terms with a person who holds a high position in the judiciary. Also, I do not hide the fact that I am also on friendly terms with …, who is also in the picture with Mrs. Vladka. And I’m not ashamed of what I was – it’s an understatement to say amazed. I think it is unhygienic to tell here in detail what else he told me, because I will reveal personal family relationships of yours and mine, which are not for the record,” says Martin Bojanov.

Today, Judge Tsarigradska did not want to reveal more about the case, but admitted that the situation is among those she counts as a direct threat against the court.

Former Interior Minister Boyko Rashkov says that he is familiar with the actions of the network surrounding the Notary. According to him, there was not only a judicial but also a political umbrella over the Notary. Rashkov also says that some of the evidence collected by his team has disappeared.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) decided that the heads of the supreme administrative and cassation courts join the “Bozhanov” temporary commission and for 3 months they must investigate the relations of judges with the Notary.

For their part, the lawyers from several colleges came out with a common position to the media, in which they state that “it is absurd that Judge Tsarigradska was threatened, and the authors were not arrested.”
