I would like to come to Azerbaijan for training camps.
Alina Galukhin, a participant in the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup in Baku, an athlete from the Republic of South Africa (RSA), told Trend about this on Saturday, Day.Az reports.
“I know that gymnastics in Azerbaijan is at a very good level, so I would like to come here for training camps. I think I could learn a lot from Azerbaijani coaches and athletes,” she said.
Alina Galukhin said that the World Cup in Baku is her first big competition.
“Of course, I would like to perform better, but excitement took its toll. The atmosphere at the competition was excellent, the impressions were very good, a lot of bright, positive emotions,” the gymnast noted.
According to the athlete, she arrived in Baku two days before the start of the World Cup and conducted a control training session here.
“It’s easier for me to perform in the program with the ball, but with the clubs, of course, I still need to work a lot,” she added.
It should be noted that the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup is taking place at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku on April 19-21. Over 110 gymnasts from more than 40 countries take part in the competition. Gymnasts perform in a program of individual and group exercises.
Azerbaijan is represented at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup by Zohra Agamirova and Kamilla Seidzade in the individual program, as well as a team in group exercises consisting of Gullyu Agalarzade, Kamilla Aliyeva, Elizaveta Luzan, Daria Sorokina, Lyaman Alimuradova and Zeinab Gummetova.
