Iberdrola receives the award for the best Legal and Fiscal Pro Bono Project in Sustainability

Iberdrola has won one of the ‘FT Innovative Lawyers Awards’, organized by the ‘Financial Times’ newspaper and the specialized consulting firm RSG Consulting, in the Responsible Business category after evaluating the Pro Bono project on which the company has been working for last years. It is the first time that a Spanish company has won this award.

The awards analyze the innovative panorama of the legal sector in Europe, rating the most disruptive projects carried out by the main law firms and the in-house legal consultancies of the leading companies in Europe. They are the most prestigious in the field of legal innovation.

The awards were presented at a gala held at the Natural History Museum in London on September 21. In addition, Iberdrola’s legal services have been finalists in the categories of Most Innovative Legal Advice in Europe; Iberdrola legal Hub Project, a digital tool for contract management and legal consultations, in the Innovation and Operational Efficiency category; and LINCE Academy Project, a space for training, knowledge creation, relationship with business partners in relation to sustainability, in the Innovation in People and Skills category.

This same week, the president of Iberdrola, Ignacio Galán, has also joined the Global Council of Leaders of the Unicef ​​Generation Unlimited organization, the energy company reported. Launched by the Secretary General of the United Nations at the 2018 General Assembly and directed by Unicef, Generation Unlimited is a public-private and youth partnership around the world that seeks to connect millions of young people with opportunities for training, empowerment, employment and social entrepreneurship.
