The Illustrious Bar Association of Madrid (ICAM) opens the season by being the first bar association to announce the launch of an account on TikTok, a social network that allows users to record and create short videos. The objective of this movement, the school announces, is to spread legal knowledge among society, especially among the youngest, who are the main consumers of the platform.
La Abogacía de Madrid is the first school to take a step forward and open a profile on this digital platform, which denotes its interest in connecting with generations junior. No bar association in Spain, nor the General Council of Spanish Lawyers (CGAE) has, at the moment, a TikTok account. “Our competition now is law firms that have accounts or individual lawyers (some already famous for their advice),” ICAM sources say.
The launch campaign, which coincides with the celebration of Constitution Day, will focus on explain and disseminate the key aspects of the Spanish Constitutionthus promoting a deeper and more accessible knowledge of the rights and duties of all citizens.
According to sources from the school, this new channel will offer educational and entertaining content that will include brief and clear explanations of legal concepts, legal advice, and will cover current legal content. The institution led by Eugenio Ribón calls on the legal community to interact and participate in constructive debates on legal issues, thus promoting open dialogue and greater legal awareness among the community.
“It is essential to adapt to new times and forms of communication to stay relevant and accessible. With the launch of our TikTok account, we seek not only to reach a broader and younger audience, but also to make law and legal information accessible. more understandable and attractive for everyone,” school sources point out.
The school has already published some content on its profile. “Which fathers of the constitution were lawyers?”, “Who wrote the Spanish Constitution?” or “What are the curiosities of the Constitution?” These are some of the videos that are already available.
