ICICI Prudential MF was the first fund house to launch a Silver ETF fund of funds on January 5 this year. A fund of funds is a mutual fund scheme that invests in other mutual fund schemes.

ICICI Prudential Silver ETF Fund of Funds (ICICI Prudential Silver ETF Fund of Fund – Direct Plan-Growth) has a return on investment of 138% just a few months after launch.

It is an open-ended commodity-based silver ETF of funds. As on February 28 2022, the fund has an AUM (Asset Under Management) worth Rs.171.99 crore. The Fund’s current NAV as on March 11, 2022 is Rs.11,235.

Data on current expense ratio of funds recently launched by mutual fund houses is not available. The fund’s direct plan-growth levies a charge of 1.0% on the sale value.

And the fund has no exit charges. The minimum investment amount for this fund is Rs. 100 and the minimum SIP amount is Rs. is 100. It is a moderately high risk fund of funds as compared to the risk meter.

For example, if you have invested Rs.500 in the first month on the date of launch of this fund i.e. on January 5, 2022, the profit for today’s month will be Rs.2760. This is considered excessive profit.
