As I recall, Amadi, who serves in the reserves as a fighter in combat engineering, was rushed by helicopter to the Sheba Medical Center after being hit by an explosion that caused shrapnel injuries to his eye sockets, jaw and neck. Upon arrival at the hospital, he underwent an initial assessment and imaging tests, after which he was ventilated and sedated for surgery.
After long hours in which he was operated on during the night, he was hospitalized in the intensive care unit and then transferred to the trauma department after he woke up with the anesthetic drugs in his blood cleared. Since then he has been carefully monitored by the medical team, and his general condition is good as he communicates with his family and the many friends who came to visit him. His medical condition has changed from severe to moderate, and as mentioned, he is expected to be released from hospitalization in the ward for further treatment in the rehabilitation wing of the medical center.
