The IDF spokesman says that a preliminary investigation of the attempted shooting attack last night (Thursday) shows that IDF soldiers from Unit 636, who fired at the armed terrorist squad identified near the city of Nablus, hit a number of other terrorists.
The fighters were active in the field, which enabled the quick action and the thwarting of the attack. IDF soldiers continue to operate and search the area this morning as well.
As I recall, an armed terrorist squad arrived by car at one of the entrances to the city of Nablus. A terrorist got out of the vehicle and fired at a military post. The gunman was identified by IDF soldiers who were in proactive activity. The force returned fire and neutralized the suspect and apparently hit more terrorists.
Another vehicle picked up the weapon and fled the scene. The forces evacuated the terrorist for medical treatment, and he was handed over to the security forces for investigation.
