“The approach that Azerbaijan will also give up its claims against RA is not a valid argument at all, because we do not have a symmetrical situation. If there was bilateral aggression, bilateral crimes, occupations and ethnic exterminations and both sides showed an equal approach, maybe this would be acceptable, but we want to have equal solutions in unequal status, which will inevitably give birth to injustice,” he said.
Siranush Sahakyan mentioned that there are international courts where only the state can apply.
“For example, individuals cannot be parties to the UN’s international courts, and this will have a significant impact on legal processes. For example, individuals cannot submit issues of forms of discrimination to the UN court,” he said.
