Currently playing for the Canadian national team, FC Porto midfielder Stephen Eustáquio gave an interview to his country’s “OneSoccer” channel, where he talked about the start of the season and highlighted the Dragons’ latest draw, against Manchester United (3-3), valid for the Europa League.
«These matches are always special, as are the national team matches. Playing with Manchester United was a great experience, a team with immense quality. There are players like Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro, who have won five Champions Leagues… We did a good job, analyzing honestly. If we had been a little smarter we would have managed to win in the end, but that’s how it is. On these big stages everything that happens counts and they ended up scoring from a set piece,” he began when speaking about the match against the Red Devils.
«Everything went well. Physically I feel very good, I play more and more for Porto. I’m happy to be part of the starting eleven for most of the games and playing on European nights is always a nice bonus. Things are going well,” he added of his current form
This season, Eustáquio has played nine games for the Dragons, adding one assist so far.
