The State Public Employment Service (SEPE) has launched a message aimed at Spanish youth about the European initiative “Youth Guarantee”. This program aims to facilitate access to the labor market for people between 16 and 30 years old, providing a specific search engine for job offers and training courses adapted to this age group, with segmentation options by province.

The European recommendation supporting this program establishes that each young person must receive an offer within four months of registering in the National Youth Guarantee System. This system works as a registry where young people, by registering voluntarily, become a single list of applicants available to the entities responsible for proposing specific offers, as detailed by the SEPE.

The requirements for those young people interested in joining this European initiative are the following:

1. Have Spanish nationality, be a citizen of the European Union or of the States party to the European Economic Agreement, Switzerland or a foreigner with authorization to reside in Spanish territory that enables them to work.

2. Be registered in any town in Spain.

3. Be between 16 and 30 years old at the time of applying for registration.

4. Not having worked on the calendar day prior to the date of submission of the application.

5. Not having received educational or training actions on the calendar day prior to the date of submission of the application.

6. Present an express declaration of interest in participating in the National Youth Guarantee System, committing to actively participate in the actions developed within the framework of the Youth Guarantee. For job seekers, registration in public employment services will be sufficient.
