Dinesh Karthik has been re-elected to play for India after nearly 3 years.
The BCCI has announced the Indian squad for the T20 series against South Africa. The BCCI has announced the 18-man squad for the series, which starts on the 9th. Captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Bumrah have been rested for the series. It has been announced that KL Rahul will be the interim captain of the Indian team and Rishabh Pandey will be the vice-captain. Dinesh Karthik from Tamil Nadu has been included in the Indian team led by KL Rahul.
Dinesh Karthik has been playing international cricket for India since 2004. He has played in 26 Tests, 32 T20s and 94 ODIs so far. He last played in the 2019 ODI World Cup series. He did not get a place in the team after that.
Meanwhile, Dinesh Karthik, who has been playing well for Bangalore in the current IPL season, has been re-selected to play for India after nearly three years. He plays in the T20 series against South Africa.
Dinesh Karthik tweeted about his re-entry, saying, “If you believe in yourself, everything will come to you. Thank you for all your support and trust. The hard work will continue.”
In the current IPL season, Dinesh Karthik has scored 287 runs in 14 matches with a strike rate of 191.33.
