jpnn.com – KENDARI – The inauguration of elected legislative candidates as a result of the 2024 election will be postponed if they do not immediately submit a report on state administrators’ assets (LHKPN).

This was stated by the Chairman of the General Election Commission (KPU) of Southeast Sulawesi Province, Asril in Kendari, Friday (10/5).

According to Asril, the postponement of the inauguration for all elected legislative candidates throughout Southeast Sulawesi is in accordance and is stated in KPU Regulation (PKPU) Number 6 of 2024.

“It states that if up to 21 days after the determination the LHKPN is not submitted, the KPU has the right to postpone the inauguration even though he has been designated as the selected candidate,” said Asril.

According to Asril, after the obligation to report LHKPN by elected legislative candidates has been fulfilled, the KPU will rearrange the inauguration schedule.

“We will rearrange the inauguration schedule after the elected legislative candidates report their LHKNP because that is an obligation before the inauguration,” he said.

Asril said that LHKPN reporting is a form of accountability for state administrators in openly taking responsibility for their property ownership.

He said that the public would later be able to participate in monitoring the fluctuations in the wealth of state administrators, in this case legislative members.

The inauguration of elected legislative candidates will be postponed if they do not immediately submit the LHKPN.
