A day after singer Shlomo Gornich provoked a storm against him following his statement during a performance near the Sea of Galilee that “such an audience I want, there is no one here,” tonight (Wednesday), singer Idan Amidi decided to dedicate a response to the affair, while performing at the same place.
“I’m proud,” Amadi said in his opening remarks, pulling out his necklace. “I am a proud Kurd. I wish we could love all the people of Israel,” he added.
Amid projected on the screen the picture of his grandfather and said: “This is my late grandfather who was an amazing man. We in the Kurdish neighborhood had lots of proud and kind-hearted cheers who taught me everything I know. For the chatter of a name and for the chatter of language on stage, I will go with the stereotype to the end. May we be privileged to love all the people of Israel. ”
