Today, immorality is primarily defined by certain authorities, and we witness court hearings reflecting this. Tigran Abrahamyan, a member of the “I have an honor” faction, stated after a court hearing concerning Garik Galeyan, a member of the “Call of Sons” NGO and the father of soldier Mkhitar Galeyan, who died during the 44-day war.
In our country, not only are criminal prosecutions against the parents of our hero martyrs legal, but violence against them has become acceptable.
Tigran Abrahamyan further mentioned that the recent amendment to the Constitution is directly connected to this court session.
The amendment to the Constitution does not address issues like legal framework efficiency or fundamental rights. Its true purpose is to shut the door on the painful pages of Armenian history and eradicate the underlying causes of our people’s suffering throughout the centuries. The current persecution of martyr parents is directly linked to this constitutional amendment.
According to Abrahamyan, these authorities have clearly defined their boundaries since 2018. The attacks directed towards the Armed Forces, the Church, Armenian history, and even the founders of the Hershey Foundation are simply the logical continuation of this approach.
