“In August almost 280 thousand visitors to the Pantheon with proceeds of one million euros”. Thus the Minister of Culture Gennaro Sangiuliano comments on the numbers of the second paid month of the “unique monument of which Rome boasts”. “About 24,000 are young people between 18 and 25 years old, almost 65,000 have taken advantage of the free admission. The Pantheon is a global symbol of architecture of all times. The August issues of the entrances to the Pantheon confirm the choice to introduce the paid ticket”.

The head of the Ministry of Culture underlines that “thanks to the proceeds obtained, it will be possible to continue its valorisation, support solidarity works and contribute to the reconstruction of the flooded areas”. “In August the contribution collected for Emilia-Romagna, as a result of the one euro increase in the ticket price, provided for by legislative decree 61 of 2023 and extended until December, is equal to 211,647 euros which, added to the 181,635 euros of July, bring the overall total to 393,282 euros” he concludes.
