The management of the “Malmo Arab Film Festival” announced its awards, in Sweden, the awards of the fourteenth session.

According to Reuters, “The jury at the Malmo Arab Film Festival in Sweden awarded its special award to the Yemeni film “The Weary Ones,” while the Moroccan film “White Lies,” directed by Asmaa Al-Moudair, won the best film award in the feature film competition.”

The film “Bye Bye Tiberias” directed by Lina Sweilem won the Best Non-Fiction Film Award, while the jury awarded its own award to the Yemeni film “The Weary” directed by Amr Gamal, and the Best Direction Award went to Tunisian Kawthar Ben Haniyeh for Her film “Daughters of Olfa”.

The Palestinian, Saleh Bakri, won the Best Actor Award for his role in the movie “The Professor,” and his compatriot, Mona Hawa, won the Best Actress Award for her role in the Jordanian movie “God willing, a boy.” The Sudanese, Muhammad Kordofani, won the Best Screenplay Award for The movie “Goodbye Julia,” while the audience vote award went to the movie “A Nose and Three Eyes,” by Egyptian director Amir Ramses, starring Dhafer El Abidine and Amina Khalil.

In the short film competition, “The film “I wish you well, my heart” by the Egyptian director, Sherine Magdy Diab, won the award, and the jury awarded its special award to the Iraqi film (Transit), directed by Baqir Al-Rubaie.”
